Site Info

This site was designed to keep a delicate balance between a straight-forward approach of an online photography portfolio and the tagging mayhem of web services like Flickr. The general idea is that although photographers like controlling the look and feel of their site, often stripping the navigation down to a poor man’s version of a traditional book portfolio, they miss the point: the web is not print. things are not static. why limit yourself to 6 or so categories. why not give the site visitor enough options to be able to view and organize the photography as they see fit (most likely dependent on what they are looking for).

In addition, Lisa needed not just a website, but site with a content management system that she could manage and update. something relatively easy that didn’t involve too much code. The result is that Lisa can update the site without touching any code, for the most part, the images are uploaded to the server via iPhoto and Photon, creating blog entries. The site runs on Word Press. and the fancy tagging system is part of the Ultimate Tag Warrior plugin for WP. This site also employs the following plugins:

This site was designed and programmed by Ed Fladung for Lisa. as a friendly gesture. artists helping artists help themselves.
